Two Different Women. :*

Two women, two different stories, Penelope and Helen. Women possessing beauty, not just in the outside but also in the inside. A factor that captivated a lot of men especially Paris and Menelaus- Helen; and Odysseus- Penelope. These two ladies have things in common like beauty, being compassionate but they still have differences. They both loved someone, married their respective husband, but their degree of being loyal and keeping their vows are different. I could say that Penelope is a loyal wife to Odysseus. Even though her husband was away from her arms, she still managed to keep her promise as a wife. Many years of waiting passed and many suitors came to her kingdom in belief that the king of Ithaca was dead. They came from different kingdoms and countries and spent a lot of time just to arrive at Ithaca. Penelope entertained her suitors but the hope that her husband is still alive and will return was still there. That showed her loyalty to Odysseus, unlike Helen, a woman married to Menelaus, still managed to go with Paris back to Troy. If a person is married, there is a tie between the two, and Helen broke that tie by going with Paris. Menelaus was left, loveless, and wanted his wife back. Then a war broke out just because of a simple reason. I could say that Helen's loyalty is not that much of Penelope's.

You love simply because you cannot help it. :>

the greatest gift of all---LOVE.

They say that love has no limits. It defies all odds and triumphs in the end. As we watched "Helen of troy," Paris and Helen showed their care and appreciation for one another. They displayed the true meaning of love and made the ultimate sacrifice. True love is a blessing, yet, life can always be unfair. There maybe some things that aren't meant to be, all you have to do is accept and understand the things that will happen to you.
If I were Helen, I would also come with Paris to Troy. There maybe countless obstacles ahead of me, it will not matter because I want to be with the person that I truly love. Making the ultimate sacrifice requires a lot of faith and trust. This is to test how far can one relationship go to its limits. No matter what the cost, I will follow my heart feels, because this is the true meaning of love.

The 26th Founding Anniversary

"Fairness is what justice really is."

The most anticipated event of the TUMCSians had come---The 26th Founding Anniversary. This is the moment for us students to shine the light. This is the time for us to participate in the said activities like basketball, volleyball, badminton and chess. The time for us to show our talents.

The week-long foundation started last February 14,2011 and end up on February 18,2011. The event begun with the joint worship. This is for us, TUMCSians, to thank God for He has given Taytay United Methodist Christian School another year to celebrate and enjoy. After the worship, we had the dry run for the forthcoming field demonstration for ensuing day.

The succeeding day, the students were divided into 3 groups-yellow team, blue team and green team. Each team has its representative of their own for the lightning of the torch. The lightning of the torch is a traditional activity that opens the foundation week. This also signifies the sportsmanship of every year level. Subsequently, a parade was held and after wards, the first ever Mr. and Mrs. Intrams took place in which CARISSA JASMIN DELGADO and JEFF FRANCISCO entitled Mr. and Mrs. Intrams.Later on, the Field Demonstration had begun. The juniors have shown their competitiveness in CHEER DANCE, in which they are said to be the defending winner, and BALLROOM competition and we, seniors, won in the MODERN DANCE competition. We've done our best for God's Glory. :)

The following days were used for the ballgames wherein students may show their physical strength and abilities. As I observed, students were really dedicated to win the games. Some were too aggressive just to win.  And some of the students have shown their bitterness on the seniors. Some of them play dirty, most especially those of sophomores' girls. Most of the players in seniors got injured due to them and even though we didn't won in basketball and volleyball, at least, we've done our best and play fair and square not circle. :) wahahahahahahahah. :))))))

"BITTER EXPERIENCE has taught us how fundamental our values are and how great the missions they represent."

This was our last foundation week as a tumcsian. I'm gonna miss this moments. I'll treasure every bit of this while it's still burning strong. "As we go on, we remember, all the times we had together. And as our lives change from whatever, we will still be, FRIENDS FOREVER!"
